Due to their excellent mechanical characteristics even at operating temperatures close to 300° and cryogenic temperatures of around -200°, they are particularly used for heavily loaded plain bearing shells, shaft liners of naval engines and rolling mill systems.
With the addition of Ni there is greater resistance to sliding and higher tensile strength and are used in: gears for large operating machines, supports for electrical insulators, large rolling bolts, piston rings for cylinder pistons, flanges and fittings for pre-oil products.
